John and Helen Mommsen established the family farm in 1916 near Miles, Iowa with a passion for natural living. In the following years, God blessed them with 10 children and they started a legacy that has lasted for more than 108 years.
John started exhibiting cattle under the name “John F. Mommsen and Sons”. The family would go on to be regarded as one of the greatest cattle feeders in the world for nearly half a century.
